A new year begins. I’ve made a few changes. Yes, The Last Stop—Reflections on Senior Living is finished and I still am trying to avoid self-publishing by finding a publisher. I have not been successful, but I am no longer consumed with my 140 page memoir. Additionally my contract has ended with SeniorHomes.com, and after 26 monthly posts that too is over. It is the first time in over forty years I am not employed. Added to that, I have given up my regular Tuesday and Thursday competitive bridge games at The House of Cards. I still play bridge, but in a more social and relaxed way. I may miss the competition, but at the moment I am enjoying my changed life style. With these changes I am finding new things to do at Vi or thru Vi—lecturers, play reading, new games and outings where my ticket is bought and I am delivered along with friends to the entrance. It’s a good way to begin 2016. |
